In order to obtain your digital badge for completing a workshop in the Library Research Workshop Series:

  1. First make sure that you have completed all of the pages within the workshop. You should see a green checkmark icon next to each page and in the header for the workshop.
  2. If all items are completed, click on the Badges link on the course menu on the left.  Click on the button to "complete course" if the circle is blank. If you have not registered the "@my.vcccd.edu" email, you will be prompted to do so.
  3. Once you click on the Blank Complete Course, you will be sent back to the modules screen. Go to Badges again and the circle will contain the green check. If you are not sent to Modules, manually go to Modules and back to Badges (this will "jiggle the handle" to complete the course).
  4. Once there is a green check, you can hover over the badge to click "view details" then click "download" to gain access to the badge on the Badgr web site
  5. If you do not have a Badgr account, you need to create a Badgr account by supplying your "@my.vccccd.edu" email address on that same page.  Verify the account through that email address and then go back to Badges to look for the button to "complete course".
  6. Once you are logged on, proceed to the "backpack". This is where all the badges will go.
  7. Once you have access to your badge, click on "Share Badge". Click to check "include recipient identifier." This is your unique badge with your name on it.  Simply copy the link and send the instructor the web site address (URL) of the badge.  If your instructor is requesting a document then just paste the link into the document.

If you are still unable to access your badge after following these steps, please contact Kaela Casey.
